Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
Work Location: On-site (5 day) in Bellport, NY
Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 per year
Job Type: Full-time, On-Site
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This role supports a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a solid understanding of HR practices and Leave of Absences (e.g., Workers’ Compensation, FMLA, and PFL), and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support day-to-day HR operations and provide guidance to employees and management
Assist with recruitment efforts, including job postings, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Assist with benefits administration and HR programs
Handle employee relations matters with professionalism and confidentiality
Oversee Leaves of absence programs, including Workers’ Compensation, FMLA, and PFL, from intake through return-to-work, ensuring compliance and accurate documentation
Assist with employee morale initiatives and events.

Requirements
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in Human Resources or a related field
Fluent in Spanish (written and verbal) required
Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws
Strong knowledge of Leave of absence (LOA) administration
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Office systems
Working knowledge of payroll processes such as tracking employee hours, handling tax and benefit deductions
