- Employee Relations Manager
Description
Montgomery County Community College invites applications for the Employee Relations Manager position. The Employee Relations Manager is responsible for the administration and coordination of employee relations issues and labor relations matters. Reporting to the Senior Director of Human Resources, this position serves as a trusted advisor to managers and staff providing guidance on both faculty and support staff collective bargaining agreements, grievance administration, investigations, disciplinary actions, and employment law compliance as well as managing the ADA process from start to finish
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
-Bachelor’s degree is required. HR certification (i.e. PHR, SHRM-CP) is highly preferred.
-At least 4 years of professional experience in Human Resources with at least 2 years of employee relations experience. Higher Education experience is preferred.
-Strong knowledge of labor laws, workplace regulations, and HR best practices.
-Experience working in a union environment is highly preferred.
-Demonstrated ability to navigate complex and ambiguous situations while exercising sound judgment and maintaining strict confidentiality.
-Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
-Proficiency in HR software and tools.
-Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate within a diverse academic environment.
-Excellent written, oral and presentation skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
