In 1979, Winston L. Adams started Adams Nut & Bolt Company as a 2,000 square foot facility. One year later Adams expanded into a 12,000 square foot building in response to more than $1 million in sales. Adams quality control program was implemented in 1985 and the quality lab was designed to meet the greatest possible reliability and quality in the products and services provided to the customer. In 1986, Adams pioneered the concept of the value-added, just-in-time vendor inventory management program. Such programs are now an industry standard. Adams became the first fastener distributor in Minnesota to achieve ISO 9002 certification. In 1995, Adams moved into their current 62,000 square foot headquarters in Maple Grove, Minnesota. Soon after, the first degreed mechanical engineer was hired, establishing Adams as the leader in the industry in providing engineering support to their customers. In 1997 Adams was acquired by the Würth Group. Würth Adams currently has 14 locations throughout the United States and Mexico. Wurth Adams remains focused on the distribution of fasteners to original equipment manufacturers in a variety of industries.

Our success is continually demonstrated by our original customers who are still buying from us four decades later. Würth Adams Nut and Bolt was founded on principles of integrity and flexibility and continue with that tradition today. We consider our customers our partners and are proud to offer a level of dedication and support found only in a company that is truly passionate about customer service.
