The Company
Wood Mackenzie is a leading provider of commercial analysis, insight and
consulting services to the Energy, Metals and Mining industries. Over the past 30
years, the Company has developed an unrivalled body of knowledge and
expertise which is now relied upon by many of these industries’ leading players.
Wood Mackenzie is a knowledge based business. Intellectual capital is our main

Our History
We've enjoyed incredible growth. Our modern history began in 1973, when we
began producing commercial reports analyzing the North Sea Oil & Gas industry.
We now have more than 800 people delivering insight and analysis of the global
energy, metals and mining industries. And there's more room to grow.
Our work connects us with virtually every major participant and observer in the
energy industry and, more recently, we've extended our expertise into the related
sectors of coal, metals and mining through the acquisition of Hill & Associates,
Barlow Jonker and Brook Hunt.
