Company History
Founded in 1982 on the southern shore of Chesapeake Bay in Virginia Beach, Westminster-Canterbury is a not-for-profit LifeCare retirement community sponsored by the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia and The Presbytery of Eastern Virginia of the Presbyterian Church.
Designed for active people age 62 and over, our waterfront community provides a comprehensive solution for the challenges of retirement – and an ideal resort-like setting to enjoy a wonderful retirement lifestyle.
A promise of the church's original mission of care and concern was to ensure that residency be available to all qualified individuals, regardless of their financial position.
