Founded in 1993, Värde Partners has employed a diversity of event-driven investment strategies, earning its investors attractive risk-adjusted rates of return. Investments have centred on commercial real estate, corporate bank debt and high yield bonds, bank capital, special situation private equity, structured products, consumer credit and transportation related assets. Fund assets total more than $8.0 billion with over 160 employees worldwide. To date, Värde has invested over $1.0 billion into portfolio companies, asset management operators and loan servicing platforms. Värde has a broad investor base including endowments and foundations, pension funds, insurance companies, private clients and other institutional investors. With offices in London, Minneapolis, Singapore, Luxembourg and Ireland; the firm is able to invest in markets across the globe.
Värde’s investing activities are guided by the following investment philosophy: (i) search opportunistically for undervalued or inefficient markets; (ii) invest in assets at a discount to their intrinsic value; (iii) identify catalysts for value recognition; (iv) pursue medium-term investment horizons; and (v) manage risk through diversified investment programs and trading strategies.
