Company Overview
The Mission of San Ysidro Health Center is to improve the health and well being of our community's traditionally underserved and culturally diverse people.
Since 1969, San Ysidro Health Center has been the leader in the provision of low-cost, high quality, comprehensive primary care services to residents of San Diego County's South Bay Region. SYHC has been recognized by Federal, State and Local entities as a leader in the creation and development of many of the more creative and successful forces in Health Care Prevention nationwide. Among these has been the leadership in the development of a locally managed care system, a comprehensive mental health program incorporated into the traditional primary care service matrix, and a series of joint and collaborative health education and promotion programs which have reached across the border into Mexico.
Offering Services from Primary Care to Research and Development in areas surrounding all facets of health, we are a network of Healthcare Professionals dedicating to serving our communities in need. Our employees are dedicated to excellence in their field, demonstrating integrity and respect for one another and empowering the community we serve. Our continually expanding network provides growth opportunities to all of our employees from entry-level positions to in increase in the demand for providers with experience in specialty services.
Company History
Our roots are grounded in serving the areas of primarily Hispanic residents in San Ysidro and surrounding communities. Within the last few years, SYHC has recently expanded our network to include communities in the South-East San Diego region home to the Oceanview and new King-Chavez Health Center, which serve a more diverse population.
The San Ysidro Health Center Network now consists of 10 Different Health Clinic Locations throughout the Southern San Diego County Region. SYHC’s Dental Services are available for adult and pediatric patients at 6 Clinic locations, with services for Special Needs Adult patients at our King Chavez Health Center and Pediatric Special Needs Patients at our San Diego Children’s Dental Clinic, in partnership with Rady’s Children’s Hospital. SYHC’s Behavioral Health services offer comprehensive outpatient mental health services to those experiencing psychological problems. Treatment is provided to children and adults who are in need of mental health services focusing on the culturally/linguistically diverse populations of the communities we serve.
