Company History
In 1933, one man’s vision and a $35 down payment on a Model A Ford truck launched a company that would become one of the world’s leading providers of commercial fleet management, supply chain and dedicated transportation solutions.
Jim Ryder started his business hauling concrete. Five years later, a Miami beverage distributor leased five trucks from him and Ryder’s full service leasing business took off. From this modest beginning, Ryder emerged a leader in the development of innovative commercial transportation and third-party logistics solutions and a Fortune 500® company with annual revenues of more than $6 billion.
