Company History
The firm was founded in June of 1961 as Howard H. Nearing AIA Architect by Howard Nearing and soon after added Stan Staats to the firm and the name. Fast forward over 50 years, several more principals, a few more name changes and you end up the NSPJ Architects, P.A. we know and love today. Notable Accomplishments / Recognition
In 2019 alone NSPJ started over 200 new projects and was awarded 3 Capstone, 1 KC Historic, 6 HBA Northern Colorado, 2 CSI, and 1 Giants 300 awards.
Added three new Board of Director members: Katie R. Martinovic, Theresa S. Curtis, and Kiley S. Darden.
Created the Howard Nearing / NSPJ Endowed Housing Studio at KU in 2013. Continue to support the studio through the funding commitment and visits to the studio by our architectural staff to review the studio projects.
