Company History
Mechanical Equipment Company, Inc. (MECO®) was founded in 1928 as a distributor of diesel engines, and in the 1940s began designing and manufacturing desalination equipment for the war effort. Today, MECO® manufactures a wide range of desalination plants and processes, water purification plants, marine heat exchangers and pumps. The company’s clients are engaged in a variety of industries including oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, shipbuilding, construction and power generation. MECO® services both domestic and foreign governments and military accounts.
