King County's Department of Transportation is a leader in this nation's public transportation industry. KCDOT is composed of the Metro Transit, Road Services, Fleet Administration, King County Airport, and Marine Divisions. Each division plays a unique role in getting people to work quickly and comfortably, reducing commuter stress, providing efficient transportation infrastructure for our vital regional economy, greening the environment, radically improving urban air quality and preparing for the impacts of climate change.
The Communications Section is a critical part of the Transportation Department. We provide timely and innovative ways of informing the public about our transportation services and projects, and plan and implement community relations programs that ensure our planners and decision makers understand the public's concerns and views on regional transportation issues. Our section is a closely integrated team of communications, graphics, video journalism multimedia programming and public information specialists led by a communications manager.
