Products
Transfusion diagnostics:
• Immucor manufactures and sells a complete line of serology assays used by hospitals, reference labs and donor centers to determine the best match between a patient and donor prior to transfusion.
• Immucor’s serology typing and screening tests can be run manually or on its proprietary automation platforms.
• Immucor has introduced an unprecedented four generations of serology automation to the market. Immucor automation features the broadest test menu available as well as instant access, fast turnaround times and uses Immucor’s exclusive Capture® technology for antibody screening and identification. Our current instrument offering includes:
o Echo®, an instrument specially designed for small-volume laboratories with a bench-top footprint
o NEO®, an instrument specially designed for high-volume laboratories with the highest throughput available in the industry.
• Immucor is at the forefront of bringing molecular methods to the immunohematology market with our BioArray™ BeadChip™ family of products for the extended antigen typing of red blood cells and platelets.
Transplantation diagnostics:
• Immucor manufactures and sells a complete line of assays, marketed as LIFECODES, to hospitals and reference labs to determine the best match between a patient and donor prior to transplantation.
• Immucor’s molecular human leukocyte antigens (HLA) typing tests and its HLA antibody screening tests both run on the Luminex® platform, which has an install base of more than 1,000 instruments worldwide in the transplantation field.
• Through an agreement with Life Technologies, Immucor also distributes high resolution sequencing assays (SeCore®) in the U.S.
Coagulation diagnostics:
• Immucor manufactures products that identify deficiencies in clotting factors and detect antibodies involved in thrombosis, including a PF4 assay designed to detect antibodies that cause heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT).
