Company Overview
Identity provides programs for Latino youth in Montgomery and Prince George's Counties, MD
to help them achieve a sense of confidence, connection, and control over their lives. Our goal is to reduce social and cultural barriers that hinder their ability to participate fully in society's benefits and responsibilities.
Over 4,500 youth and their families benefit annually from Identity's programs and services.

Company History
Identity, Inc. is a community-based 501(c)(3) organization located in Montgomery County, MD that serves Latino youth and their families. Identity was founded in 1998 as a health promotion organization to meet the needs of the Latino population in Washington, DC.
In 2001, Identity conducted the first-ever needs assessment of Latino youth in Montgomery County, which laid the foundation for the programs that we have developed and implemented since then. As the Latino population began to shift from Washington, DC to the surrounding suburbs in Maryland, in 2003 Identity relocated to Montgomery County in order to bring its services to their communities. Since then, Identity has expanded its programs to 15 schools in the county, and opened three Youth Centers located in areas of high Latino concentration, Silver Spring, Takoma Park, and Gaithersburg, MD.

In the past 14 years, Identity has worked diligently to accomplish the following:
• In-depth understanding of the diverse community we serve based on research and needs assessments
• Comprehensive and integrated program designs that respond to specific needs in the community
• Rigorous evaluation methods to measure the effectiveness and impact of programs
• Strong partnerships with the public and private sectors
