Unity’s mission is to promote healthier communities through compassion and comprehensive health and human services, regardless of ability to pay. From primary care to dental care, we serve the most vulnerable residents in the
District including the underinsured and uninsured, working poor, homeless, persons living with HIV, and incarcerated and returning citizens. We currently serve more than105,000 patients each year.
Company History
Unity Health Care, Inc. was founded in 1985 as the Health Care for the Homeless Project, providing primary health care services to homeless individuals and families that resided in the District of Columbia. Since then, we have expanded to 30 sites throughout the District.
