Signature Flight Support operates 200+ Fixed Based Operators (FBOs) around the world servicing private jets. We are currently searching for a Vice President of Human Resources to join our international team. Reporting to the EVP of Human Resources, and Signature’s Chief Operating Officer, this position is responsible for providing key thought leadership, influence, and hands-on engagement to ensure effective deployment of the human capital agenda to achieve business results of our global operation. Partnering with business leaders and peers to grow the business and ensure organizational capability for Signature operations, this newly created role is responsible for hands-on management and effective leadership of a global team of 20 HR generalists and 10 recruitment staff, to ensure Signature has the right talent, in the right role and the right time. This position can be based in Orlando FL or Dallas TX.

The responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing leadership, guidance, and counsel to Signature COO and key business leaders on global matters related to talent, organizational change, and human development

  • Consulting with and influencing senior leaders on key business issues that have HR implications, and on decisions that affect employees and the organization

  • Leading a global team of 20 generalists to support the effective day-to-day operations of the business; forecasting talent needs to ensure the FBOs have the right people, in the right roles at the right time

  • Diagnosing organizational structure, including spans, layers, talent, to ensure it meets the current and future needs of the business; designs new functions and roles to help the business achieve its objectives

  • Driving assessment of organizational talent capability to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement and partners with VP of Talent & OD to develop talent management strategies for building organizational bench strength and key capabilities

  • Managing a team of one talent acquisition manager and 10 recruiters to ensure that open positions are being effectively sourced and filled with high-quality candidates

  • Interpreting and leveraging relevant data, internal and external, and incorporates data-driven solutions into key HR strategies that drive action for key strategic decisions, customer requirements, and employees

  • Leads the development of continuous improvement of HR systems and processes that support the business through effective partnership with BBA HR COEs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred or other relevant advanced degree in HR, Business or other applicable area of study

  • 15 years HR strong generalist experience but who has also at least 3 years firsthand knowledge of labor relations and managing a global team

  • International experience is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve goals through influencing, partnering and developing productive relationships with senior leadership and line managers across the business.

  • Successful track record of working in matrix organization.

  • Experience managing complex projects and budgets to align with business conditions.

  • Financial and general business acumen that exceeds the typical expectation for the role

  • Knowledge of global laws related to HR, particularly in areas related to organizational change

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of HRIS software and systems; experience with Oracle Cloud platforms a plus
