Christiana Care Health System’s Institute for Learning, Leadership & Development (iLEAD) is currently hiring Vice President, Strategic Learning and Development. iLEAD offers and array of programs and services to help our people develop and to support change efforts across the organization. The department works with change leaders across Christiana Care to support implementation of a variety of change efforts. iLEAD's leadership development approach is focused on strengthening our leaders’ ability to deliver on the Christiana Care Way, and to carry out our strategic objectives.

In this role you will be responsible for planning, organizing and directing Christiana Care Health System’s learning and development services that support the achievement of Christiana Care’s mission, strategies and operating plans. You are also responsible for assessing the major strategic learning needs of the Health System and designing and implementing actions to improve organizational performance.

Moreover you will:

  • Define and develop a scalable strategy for learning and development and associated programs and activities. Partner with the senior leaders of the health system to drive strategy for the development of its current and future leadership and workforce.
  • Shape and direct the talent development agenda for the organization in partnership with senior management and Human Resources. Lead the development, implementation and delivery of the training and development strategy and oversee the curriculum of the health system’s offerings.
  • Lead the development and delivery of effective, efficient and service-oriented educational and development programs that prepare employees and managers at all organizational levels to meet CCHS’ goals, including programming in introductory, advanced and clinical management and leadership, quality and safety education, high potential education and development, new employee integration, career development, coaching and mentoring, quality improvement and technical skills.
  • Partner with the VP Change Management and OD in the design, development and implementation of organizational development capabilities, methodology tools and consulting support. Assist with the provision of expert facilitation and coaching to leaders regarding OD methods and tools.
  • Serve as the training and development “champion” and “thought leader” within the organization. Apply best-in-class approaches aligned with the evolving competencies of leaders to the design and development of learning programs.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in human resources, organizational development, industrial/organizational psychology, education or comparable field required.
  • Ten (10) years’ increasingly responsible experience in adult learning and/or organizational development in a fast-paced healthcare, consulting or corporate environment with at least five (5) year’s executive level leadership experience.
