JOB DESCRIPTION
 

 

Position Summary: 

 

The Training Manager will create, implement, and manage all training and related associate communications for Comfort Keepers.  The Training Manager contributes to the success of the Comfort Keepers mission by designing and facilitating training programs, and managing interventions to meet system initiatives and strategic goals for Comfort Keeper franchisees, their staff, and Operations Services.  The position will collaborate with Field Leadership, Subject Matter Experts and Field Support to deliver and create effective learning solutions designed to meet business needs and produce measurable results. Works with individuals within the organization to clearly understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies to ensure training is current and aligned with the strategic goals of Comfort Keepers.

 

 

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • A minimum of five years training experience – including facilitation and instructional design
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong background in coaching and developing others
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Experience with eLearning authoring tools and other methods of training creation

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Designs and facilitates training programs, seminars and conferences. Examples include:
  • Sales Training
  • New Franchisee Training
  • Annual Conference Training
  • Field Training
  • Training on new initiatives and programs
  • Phone Skills Training
  • Engages learners to enhance retention and impacts job performance.
  • Prepares and implements training and project plans.
  • Mentors/Coaches learners to ensure development.
  • Leads the learning strategy for Annual Conference.
  • Manages and tracks all training (including caregivers) via the Learning Management System.
  • Utilizes effective evaluation tools to measure results/impact of learning.
  • Assists with preparing and administering various training programs.
  • Partners with Subject Matter Experts and Coaches on developing content material for specified training.
  • Remains current on developments in training and instructional methodologies.
  • May facilitate an assigned Performance Management Group.
  • Manages relationships with outside vendors.

  • Ability to travel nationwide, overnight up to 25% of the time delivering training

Position Physical Demands:

The Training Manager position is located in Irvine, CA and considered to be generally sedentary although standing for prolonged periods of time may be required. Occasionally may be required to lift boxes containing supplies and/or luggage weighing up to 40 pounds.  Extended time at a computer work screen and on the telephone may occur. 

 

 

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
 

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in an HR related field
  • +5 years of experience
  • Work experience not only in learning and development, but also operational training
  • Franchise or large system experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience designing and executing large scale training initiatives

Salary Range: Up to $100k, based on qualifications and years of experience.

BENEFITS
401(k) with Pre-Tax and Roth options and Employer Match begin the first of the month following 90 days from the date of hire.
Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Short/Long Term Disability benefits available the first of the month following 30 days from date of hire for full-time employees.
Paid Vacation and Sick Time accrue for full-time employees during the first full paycheck, and may be used immediately after accrued.
