Manage and communicate a total rewards analytics strategy that will assist the business in future total rewards decisions.  Responsible for the critical management of the Compensation and Benefits Analytics and Data Reporting capabilities.  Responsible for developing Compensation and Benefits reporting (reports/dashboards) and analytics strategies that align with Total Rewards and broader Company and Division business objectives across functional HR areas and consults with Dir, Compensation and Director, Benefits on analytics needs and propose solutions. Glean external market insights into compensation, global mobility, benefits and wellness and incorporate external insights to generate relevant and robust analytics.  Collaborate with GBS, C&B colleagues, HR COEs, Legal, Finance and Compliance to establish, communicate and educate them and connecting the dots by converting data into business insights.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the coordination and analysis of the Compensation information; analyze trends; draw conclusions and coach Compensation Partners and leadership on gap closing strategies; generate reports on as needed/requested basis. 
    • Establish a measurement framework to measure impact and effectiveness of current comp programs.  Partner with Comp colleagues to identify actions to foster employee engagement and retention.  Identify and deliver compensation data/metrics, status updates, quality audits for compensation partners for each functional business area.
    • Initiate the first steps in analytics by defining all metrics, and measuring efficiency and compliance within and across departments.  Transform raw data into information and conclusions.  Partner closely with HRIS, IT or external vendor to build the required system functionality to collect, analyze and present data.  Provide coaching and training on use and interpretation of metrics.
    • Market data analysis - Prepare data and analyze by function, job family, across OPUs: create budget management tool - alignment to corporate framework on +/- 10% range around a percentile
    • Survey Process Management: Automation of the process
    • Gauge efficiency of increases and total compensation offerings to performance across all employee groups
  • Responsible for the compilation, tracking, analysis and reporting of health, welfare, retirement, recognition and wellness program data; gathering from disparate vendors, carriers, consultants and systems to create a comprehensive view of all plans and programs.
    • Establish a framework to measure enrollment, utilization, employee and employer costs for all active employee and retiree health, welfare, retirement and wellness plans
    • Develop dashboard, reports and presentations to transform complex data into meaningful information delivered in a concise format
    • Partner with Benefits and Wellness team to establish baseline insured and self-funded plan costs and vendor fees; work with internal team, consultants and vendors to model cost/savings impact of benefit plan changes; track and report results
    • Partner with Finance to establish and track benefit and wellness plan cost allocations to OPUs
  • Ensures that collaborations & overall business is in accordance with regulation


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.  Master’s degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Five to eight (5-8) years’ experience in HR analytics or equivalent data/demographic metrics
  • Expert-level usage of Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint is required
  • HRIS experience: SAP and global HRIS systems preferred
  • Strong knowledge of statistical calculations and analytic methods
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and analyses simultaneously while being able to meet deadlines
  • Proven results in the ability to present complex ideas in simple terms and influence solutions. 
  • Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, exercise judgment, and productively execute amid ambiguity
  • Proven results in taking action, and offering solutions and alternatives to complex data situations; attention to detail, and highly skilled in problem-solving
  • Knowledge of industry, functional, and technical trends and best practices (e.g. Pharmaceutical, Human Resources, Financial, Compensation, Benefits, Wellness analytics, big data, business intelligence, etc.)
  • Strong project management, complex problem solving, process design abilities
  • Must be resourceful and able to align and execute strategic and operational goals as well as build strong relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, both written and verbal are essential for leading, coaching and corresponding at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to safeguard confidential data
