The Technical Recruiter provides full life-cycle recruiting: sourcing, recruiting screening and providing a shortlist of candidates for various positions using a variety of internal and external resources and methods.



  • Partners with hiring managers to review job requirements and determine staffing needs.
  • Networks and sources for potential candidates using traditional and nontraditional resources, such as; job boards, employee referrals, social media, career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc.
  • Researches new sourcing tools and technologies to increase number qualified applicants and time to fill efficiency.
  • Promotes TAPE’s brand in all recruiting activities.
  • Screens, interviews, and evaluates candidates according to job requirements.
  • Develops and fosters excellent long-term relationships with internal and external clients (candidates, employees, hiring managers, vendors, and business partners) to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
  • Manages candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ADP) and on job boards.
  • Formats resumes when needed to meet client expectations.
  • Conducts background checks and processes offer paperwork
  • Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, non-compete agreements).
  • Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.
  • Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance.
  • Manages application/resume file and retention according to company policies and processes.
  • Performs a variety of administrative tasks that support the overall mission of quality performance and service.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or human resources or an equivalent amount of experience and training.
  • Two or more years’ experience recruiting IT professionals using a variety of sourcing methods.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems, job boards/recruiting tools and HR Information Systems to fill vacancies.
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP/ PHR) is a plus but not required.



  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Must be able to learn and discern technical information to successfully screen resumes.
  • Strong skills in MS Office including excellent proofreading, editing and formatting skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to make good decisions through a combination of analysis, experience, and judgment.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, sensitivity and compassion when interacting with all levels of staff.
