Description

The Technical Recruiter is a key member of the HR team, providing support to hiring managers for a variety of technical roles including both full-time, contract and temporary positions. In addition, this position is responsible for collaborating with other members of HR and staff to ensure candidates have both an exceptional pre-board and on-boarding experience. The technical recruiter must be effective at building strong relationships across the organization to deliver recruitment support and leadership to management and employees. Builds and sustains a high-quality candidate pipeline of technical talent.  Must be a self-starter and willing to assist the team in a variety of assignments across the HR spectrum.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be responsible for and executes full lifecycle recruiting for information technology positions to include sourcing, networking, resume review, screening, interviewing and employment offers both internally and externally

• Work with hiring managers to devise a recruiting plan and write detailed position descriptions

• Creatively source active and passive, high-quality talent; develop creative sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill positions, including direct sourcing and internet recruitment, leveraging industry networks; continue to build a talent pipeline

• Negotiate and close talent with offers and starts

• Document and report in ADP Workforce Now applicant tracking system

• Become a credible and trusted talent advisor to hiring managers.

• Screen candidates and establish candidate pools for open position

• Communicates with hiring managers to identify future job openings and the technical requirements for those jobs.

• Develops candidates through research sources, database sourcing, internet tools, networking and other proactive sourcing techniques.

• Develops and implements recruiting plans for sourcing, attracting and engaging top talent in the Technology market.

• Generates monthly updates for leadership about upcoming recruitment marketing initiatives and communicates regularly with leadership to get a clear view of the company's hiring needs and organizational goals.

• Works closely with leadership to develop creative ways for addressing recruitment challenges and suggests new ideas for improving candidate experience and engagement.

• Coordinates with a cross functional team to ensure the pre-boarding and on-boarding processes provide an exceptional experience for selected candidates.

• Liaison with third party recruitment/search firms for full lifecycle recruitment of full-time, contractors and temporary staff

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years of information technology, ed tech recruiting experience in a fast-paced start-up environment

• Familiarity with higher education and ed tech is strongly preferred.

• Team player who is driven to exceed goals

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written

• Ability to fully recruit and close candidates with minimal supervision and direction

• Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity

• MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required

• Demonstrated use of an Applicant Tracking System.
