SmithBucklin, a 100 percent employee-owned association management company, is looking for a dynamic Talent Development Manager to join our Human Resources team in Chicago. With a commitment to providing enhanced professional development opportunities to our internal talent, this exciting new role will team up with the Talent Development Director in implementing our development strategy and will collaborate closely with the HR team to ensure synergy and alignment.  What You Will Do

  • You will lead learning and development projects from assessment through design and implementation
  • You will manage and enhance our people manager development efforts and facilitate manager development learning sessions
  • You will spearhead a new manager cohort program designed to improve manager development, collaboration and retention
  • You will lead efforts in the development and execution of new practical skill training courses for our core professionals
  • You will support new executive onboarding, 360 assessment processes and reporting
  • You will support the evolution and improvement of our existing curriculum in partnership with the team
  • You will support the performance processes, employee engagement and other key HR initiatives

Your Professional Journey Looks Like This…

  • You have a BA or BS degree
  • You have 7+ years of progressive learning and development and/or HR experience (with a heavy focus on L&D) with 2+ years in a management role
  • You have experience leading learning and development projects
  • You have instructional design and group facilitation experience
  • You have strong project management experience
