As our companies continue to grow, new opportunities become available. We are currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team in West Des Moines, Iowa!

  • Performs full lifecycle recruiting and maintains excellent relationships with hiring managers, candidates, and employees.
  • Proactively sources candidates, ensures all pre-employment checks are completed, develops and extends employment offers.
  • Determines best recruitment method for sourcing candidates and works with search firms or other agencies as needed.
  • Recruits for a variety of professional and field level positions.
  • Ensures the best candidate is selected and both internal and external hires meet the qualifications and possess competencies required for the position.
  • Recommends and implements new strategies, marketing tools, job websites and programs to attract candidates.
  • Develops an effective pipeline of key talent potentially available for immediate hire as succession planning needs dictate. Actively maintains engagement of pipeline and our employment brand.
  • Proactively develops and utilizes an applicant resource pool, including diverse segments by maintaining contact with search firms, recruiters, job websites and candidates.
  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with leaders, vendors, community organizations, and other HR team members to create partnerships that yield success, predictable results, and credibility.
  • Consults on in the interpretation and application of recruiting practices, guidelines, and programs to ensure consistent application across the organization.
  • Maintains membership affiliations with trade/professional organizations related to our industry.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as required.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
  • 1 – 2 years of experience in corporate or agency recruiting, to include prior experience in recruiting for professional level positions.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment laws governing employee recruitment, selection, and hiring (i.e. Title VII, ADEA, ADA). HR certification preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and tendencies; the ability to work on multiple tasks and projects concurrently; extremely detail oriented.
  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications, interpersonal skills as well as strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with corporate office management and field operations management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Must have strong initiative, solid judgment and flourish in fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems is required.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time depending on hiring needs.
