Newport Group is hiring for a passionate Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our HR team.  The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for the full life-cycle recruiting process to attract, recruit, screen and select high performing individuals.  You will partner closely with business leaders  to understand current and upcoming hiring needs, facilitate thorough strategy sessions, create strategic sourcing plans, conduct in depth screenings for KSAs and overall job/company fit, consult with the hiring leaders by sharing funnel and market data and help deliver a positive candidate and hiring manager experience.   To be successful in our fast-paced culture you must be comfortable working under pressure, working cross functionally, across domestic time zones and having a pragmatic approach to your work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Proactively source candidates through job boards, candidate pools, social media websites, referrals, networking, and other avenues, to fill exempt, non-exempt, full time and temporary talent acquisition needs
  • Build and maintain a network of potential candidates through pro-active market research, sourcing and on-going relationship management
  • Own and maintain Applicant Tracking Systems, and other tools to manage the requisition approval process, incoming resumes and applicant flow and ensuring compliance with all federal & state laws, as well as HR policies
  • Establish strong partnerships with hiring teams to quickly assess business needs, determine candidate and job profile and launch a thorough hiring strategy
  • Create innovative approaches to attracting talent by leveraging colleges, social media platforms, community organizations and advanced sourcing tools 
  • Initiate and run with projects as needed to build processes to make recruiting more streamlined and efficient
  • Track and report state of pipeline, recruiting funnel metrics and performance data to share with hiring managers
  • Be an active team partner in producing and assisting in the continuous development of recruitment processes and innovations


Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or business related field or combination of education and experience
  • 4+ years of full lifecycle recruitment experience
  • Understanding and delivery on Talent Advisor skills and concepts
  • Proven experience in successfully connecting candidates with the right opportunities
  • Self-starter with experience leading programs and project related initiatives.
  • Great at multitasking, can flex and work within multiple functions and/or channels as needed.
  • Networking comes naturally to you. You have expertise in advanced sourcing, exceptionally strong networking skills, candidate research and cold-calling.
  • You’re confident, yet humble and can effectively consult and partner with multiple business functions having varying needs.
  • You’re curious and understand the external landscape. You use marketplace insight and strong business acumen to develop strategies to help meet business goals.
  • Being organized motivates you. You can effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands.
  • Clear and concise communication skills to interact with candidates, hiring managers, interviewers, and business leaders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Experience in the financial services industry a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of in state and/or out of state


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  1. AIRS certification and/or Talent Acquisition certifications is a plus
