THE ROLE

Based in San Francisco and reporting to the Sr. Director People + Environment, North America, the talent acquisition director is responsible for bringing a unique perspective to our inclusive, impactful and evolving recruiting function. The director will ensure we provide outstanding experiences for both our internal partners and our candidates and will elevate our employer brand by focusing on attracting world-class candidates and developing a diverse and robust network and pipeline.

 

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • People leadership of 2 full-time Talent Acquisition Partners and potential surge assistance when necessary
  • Own the full life-cycle recruiting process + strategy: identify areas of opportunities in our established process + bring innovative thinking to create more effective + efficient flow while also ensuring equity + consistency for all candidates
  • Recruit: share responsible for full life-cycle recruiting, including administrative components
  • Applicant Tracking System: oversight of ATS (currently UltiPro), including relationship management + legal compliance; evaluate systems + make recommendations to ensure efficiencies of tools
  • Continue to develop established partnerships and determine best use of spend with regard to contracts + tools with LinkedIn, Glassdoor + other appropriate recruiting platforms
  • Own sourcing strategy: create a sourcing strategy that focuses on bringing in a diverse, inclusive + empowered workforce
  • Manage external agency recruiting relationships for temporary resources
  • Own recruiting metrics: track + analyze current metrics, develop goals for future metrics + implement initiatives to reach aspirations
  • Work reception once in a while*

Requirements

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 7-10 years of hands-on recruiting experience and driving strategy for a corporate in-house recruiting function
  • 5+ years of experience managing a recruiting function and team
  • Proven ability to collaborate with people across all levels and functional areas
  • Experience in a scaling, mission-based, entrepreneurial environment a plus

 

  • Must be extremely organized and able to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple key initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong, positive and clear written and verbal communications
  • Ability to anticipate needs and innovate in a changing and fast-paced environment
  • Innovative capabilities on spreading employer brand voice via platforms such as LinkedIn, Glassdoor and career pages
  • Ability to exercise extreme diplomacy, sensitivity, empathy and confidentiality
  • A great sense of humor and grace under pressure, highly appreciated!

 

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
