Talent Acquisition Advisor

$79,934 - $118,668 Annually

The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) whose mission is to enhance the fiscal and financial stability, accountability and integrity of the Government of the District of Columbia is in search of a Talent Acquisition Advisor (Term).  This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Office of Human Resources (OHR).  The incumbent will play a critical role in ensuring the OCFO hire the best possible talent by serving as a talent acquisition advisor developing long and short-range recruitment strategies to address current and projected needs of the agency.  Additionally, the incumbent will create job descriptions, vacancy announcements and employment advertisements for newspapers, professional organizations and other appropriate venues; develop interview questions, screen applications to determine qualified candidates; market price jobs; conduct reference checks; and contribute to the development of departmental procedures and practices.

 

  • Utilizing recruitment reports to monitor applicant volume; determine recruitment methods; identify sources of viable candidates
  • Building a pipeline/network of candidates; network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees
  • Attending job fairs
  • Utilizing the internet for recruitment purposes to include posting positions to appropriate job boards
  • Researching new ways of using the internet for recruitment and using social media and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates; as well as develop new and creative recruiting ideas
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The desired candidate will have a minimum of four (4) years or more of progressive full-life cycle recruitment and proactive sourcing experience in a high-volume recruitment environment or related field.  In addition, applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree in human resources, marketing, or related field.
