Bozeman Health is the largest private employer in the Gallatin Valley with more than 2,300 employees. The system consists of the flagship Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital, Bozeman Health Medical Group, Highland Park Medical Campus, a real estate development corporation, and Bozeman Health Big Sky Medical Center. In addition the system includes 26 ambulatory care sites, Bozeman Health Hillcrest Senior Living, an outpatient services center, same-day surgery center, clinical research group, urgent care and a charitable foundation.  


The System Director of Human Resources will lead the human resources team in the alignment and implementation of strategies consistent with the operating plan. He/She will be accountable for setting and ensuring high quality, standards and effectiveness for human resources throughout the system. It is expected that the System Director will foster an environment of inclusion, continuous improvement, learning and accountability. In addition to leading daily operations of a high performing human resources team, the System Director will work closely with the Chief People Officer to develop system-wide human resources strategy, policy development, opportunity analysis, problem resolution and program development.


The chosen leader will possess five to seven years of progressive human resources leadership experience. He/She will have demonstrated management capability and broad knowledge of HR services, and be well versed in physician compensation models. The selected leader will possess strong interpersonal skills, an interest in developing team members and have the ability to effectively interact with senior leaders and the Board of Directors. Master’s degree in human resources, business administration or a related field required; human resources certification is a plus.
