Overview

  • Unique opportunity to partner with new plant manager and develop HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of business objectives and desired organizational culture for the Cleveland, MS manufacturing plant. 

  • This plant is one of the largest employers in Cleveland-Bolivar County. 

  • The plant produces 9 key product lines and Baxter is adding capacity for one of the products.

Critical Responsibilities

  • Drives overall implementation of plans and strategies, continually monitors effectiveness

  • Consults with management on a variety of HR and business related issues, both strategically and operationally

  • Continually assesses the effectiveness of the organization’s business model and organization dynamics and leads efforts to realign/refocus as needed

  • Drives organization wide talent planning initiatives (in partnership with talent management CoE) including profiling, assessment, calibration, development planning and succession planning

  • Partners with the Senior Leadership team to:                                          

- translate and ensure alignment to the vision and drive effective organizational alignment and processes to enable strong partnerships with key functions                                                                                                      -

- ensure leadership and team effectiveness                                                             

- establish effective operating processes (i.e. prioritization, resource allocation processes)

- lead change management efforts in partnership with the Senior Leadership team

  • Provides executive coaching and development to senior leaders.

  • Drives an effective reward and recognition strategy that reinforces desired culture and behaviors.

  • Develops and implements measurement systems to determine the impact of HR programs.

  • Provides coaching and consultation on ER issues.


 

 

 

Requirements

Key Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and influence skills

  • Ability to drive transformational change

  • Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with management team and to coach and influence decision making of senior leaders

  • Strong project management skills and results orientation

  • Strong business acumen and judgment

  • Demonstrated ability to help define, translate and execute on an organization’s strategy

  • History of delivering results

  • Excellent communication and listening skills

  • Solid knowledge of HR strategies, practices and policies

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve conflict 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or Master’s degree in HR preferred.

  • 8+ years of HR experience that includes at least 5 years of generalist experience

Healthcare or R&D background preferred.
