Maintains and enhances the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.

 

Formal Policy-Setting Responsibilities

 

Defers all policy generations responsibilities to the CHRO and Director of the Head Start Division.

Routine Decision-Making

 

Makes routine decisions while communicating with the CHRO.

Requirements

Qualifications

Required Knowledge

 

 

-Minimum 5-7 years of practitioner experience across all HR disciplines, including employment, benefits, compensation, employee relations, training and development, and conflict resolution.

-Experience working with a diverse workforce.

-Prior experience working with a non-profit community services corporation a plus.

 

 

 

Required Skills or Abilities

 

 

-Ability to meet deadlines, outcomes and objectives

-Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing to all levels of staff and management, outside officials and agencies, and the public, expressing ideas and instructions clearly an concisely.

-Ability to compile and analyze complex information, and research and develop solutions to complex issues.

-Demonstrate skills critical for managerial success including leadership, decisiveness, flexibility, sound business judgment, and highly developed personal, analytical and communication skills.

-High attention to detail

Formal Education

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field. PHR/SPHR certification preferred. Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management with 5 years practitioner degree.

 

 

 

 

Unusual Working Conditions, If Any

 

  1. Ability to work in an office setting
  2. Position may require extending hours including evenings and weekends, and travel to multiple work sites.
  3. Must have personal, reliable transportation as traveling to multiple sites at a moments’ notice will be required.
