Sr Human Resources Director

Primary Purpose:

Under minimal direction, this position is responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating policies and programs covering all aspects of human resources to include, recruitment, employee relations, EEO/AA, compensation, benefits, training, performance management, organization development, and human resources information systems. Originates and recommends implementation of Human Resources policies and monitors related activities affecting allocations of Creative Testing Solutions.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Brings compliance issues to the attention of management.

Effectively partners with all management, including the executive team.

Assures quality customer service to all customers.

Provides effective leadership to achieve high levels of service and product quality, financial results, and other criteria in accordance with policies, goals, and objectives.

Hires, supervises, trains, develops, and evaluates performance of assigned staff. Identifies and effectively resolves employee relations issues.

 

Directs the administration of the internal grievance procedure and directs the defense of the organization with various enforcement agencies in the resolution of EEO charges, wage and hour citations, etc.

 

Provides HR leadership/support regarding mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.


Participates in due diligence; coordinates and implements the transition of human resources related activities with new, acquired or departing entities.

 

Participates in the job and salary structure for the organization, including development of job descriptions, job analysis, salary grades and FLSA assignments. Ensures internal equity and external competitiveness.

Is responsible for all system-wide compensation programs, policies and practices, including incentive plans and bonus guidelines. Ensures the competitiveness of current compensation and legislative requirements.

Oversees the development and administration of all benefit programs. Ensures changes and new programs maintain a cost effective and competitive benefits program. Participates in RFP'sImarket proposals, and makes recommendations for selection of third party vendors to administer such programs.

Develops, recommends, implements and administers processes and programs in the areas of talent management including employee performance, career development, succession planning, leadership development, organization development, team building and change management.

Oversees all employee communications related to assigned duties. Acts as internal consultant for management and HRstaff.

Remains abreast of changes and developments in the industry related regulations and standards and provides direction to implement required changes. Establishes and maintains a network of professional relationships.

Develops, recommends, and administers the department budget. Assists in formulating and implementing strategy for short and long-range planning.

Performs all other duties, at the discretion of management, as assigned.

Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required.

Master's degree preferred.

Thorough knowledge of all aspects of Human Resource Management, including related legislation (multi-state environment) and positive employee relations policies, practices and programs; good understanding of general business management required.

Thorough knowledgeof federal and state Wage and Hour and benefits laws/regulations (e.g., FLSA, ERISA, IRS, HIPAA, COBRA) in a multi-state operating environment required.

Knowledge of performance management and organizational development programs required.

PHR, SPHR, GPHR, CCP and/or CBPpreferred.

Eight years human resources experience required, To include: Five years managing a significant Human Resource Department and supervising a support staff.

 

Multi-site environment experience preferred.

Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management and provide consistently high levels of customer service.

 

Must have a participative management style, strong team development, coaching skills and the ability to lead and motivate senior and executive level managers.

 

Ability to think strategically, synthesize complex business and financial data, and develop innovative solutions.

 

Able to organize, prioritize, and execute a variable workload and multiple priorities.

 

Must have proficient computer skills.
