The Senior HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Vice President of Human Resources and the rest of the HR team in developing, coordinating and implementing HR initiatives across the organization. The Sr. Human Resources Generalist (Sr. HRG) will help ensure the retention and engagement of workers, with a strong concentration in recruiting, reporting and employee relations.

  • Leads investigation and resolution of any employee relations issues across locations.
  • In partnership with the VP, responds to employee concerns regarding performance management, harassment, discrimination, misconduct and change management.
  • Develops training materials and conduct presentations regarding contemporary issues of concern, as well as regulatory compliance issues for employees and leaders.
  • Provides expertise, consultation, and coaching to all levels of the organization on ways to address employee behavior and performance concerns.
  • Maintain required documentation, including intake and investigative notes, supporting documents and final reports.
  • Assists with developing a pipeline of talented individuals for current and future positions within the organization.
  • Acts as the first point of contact and handles the paperwork and administration for all Leave of Absence and Accommodation requests.
  • Assists with talent acquisition and onboarding, including direct sourcing and interviewing, partnering with hiring managers through candidate selection when needs increase.
  • Reviews staffing requirements and guides management in identifying high potential candidates.
  • Provides human resources support and guidance on company policies and procedures to leadership and employees by providing consultation and collaboration.
  • Ensures all HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with applicable federal, state and local laws and are consistent with company culture and values.
  • Assists with developing and implementing a holistic approach to mitigate significant HR related risks through an integrated approach to HR and employee engagement.
  • Partners with the Talent Manager to create and execute successful recruiting strategies and programs to identify talent internally and externally.
  • Promotes and advances teamwork and continuous process improvements to achieve business and people objectives
  • Work with managers on employee resignations and terminations, preparing paperwork, conducing exit interviews and analyzing trends and makes recommendations for continued improvements.
  • Prepares weekly and monthly HR business reporting and HR balanced scorecard metrics including detailed turnover analysis and talent acquisition review.
  • Develops new or improved HR processes, forms, checklists to maximize efficiency, reduce redundancy, satisfy legal requirements, control costs and comply with business conduct guidelines
  • Assists the Director of Benefits and Compensation with development and management of competitive compensation, benefits, and employee rewards and recognition programs.
  • Utilizes current HR technology effectively and helps evaluate new technology as industry solutions and best practices evolve.
  •  Revises and disseminates human resources management policies and procedures manual and associate handbook.
  • Serves as the primary liaison to the remote offices ensuring company culture is disseminated and consistent.
  • Assists the Vice President of HR with the preparation of internal communication with management and employees.
  • Works on projects that continue to positively impact employee engagement and help maintain trust through extensive business growth.
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or similar field of study is required.
  • A minimum of 8+ years' experience as a strong HR Generalist with emphasis in employee relations and staffing.
  • Attention to detail, follow-up and excellent organization skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written & verbal with abilities to influence leaders of all levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws and practices.
  • Must be a self-starter with a high degree of confidence.
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time.
  • Needs a proven track record of professionalism and confidentiality
