Sr. Benefits and Compensation Analyst

Position Overview

The Sr. Benefits and Compensation Analyst is a key member of the Talent/Total Rewards team and is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of compensation and benefits programs.

Targeted Outcomes (next 12 months)

  • Successfully complete 401(k) plan compliance review and updates as required.
  • Partner with the Total Rewards and HRIS team to automate the LOA function in Workday.
  • Partner with Total Rewards team to develop a multi-year comprehensive benefits strategy.

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead analysis to support competitive benefits plan design and control to include external benchmarking, industry trends and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure compliance in benefit design and practices.
  • Support administration of benefit plans including testing, reporting and annual open enrollment of medical, dental, vision, FSA, life, disability, wellness, 401(k) and pension plans.
  • Assist in developing metrics to measure impact and results of wellness and benefit programs.
  • Support effective communication of plan information to the organization.
  • Manage day to day benefit vendor contacts, file integrations, error reports and monthly billing.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of company's benefit plans and processes necessary to administer the plans.
  • Ensure integrity of employee benefit records and files, reviews/approves enrollments, renewals and changes as required.


  • Provide analysis of compensation practices, policies, and procedures in order to meet organization’s goals and competitive strategy.
  • Partner with HRIS team to ensure that compensation processes are accurately and efficiently executed in HRIS.
  • Partner with the HR and Talent Acquisition teams to make compensation recommendations using a data driven approach.
  • Lead execution and analysis of salary surveys and other compensation components.
  • Establish framework to ensure that compensation processes are consistently administered in compliance with policies and government regulations.
  • Assist with training for compensation programs and HRIS.


  • Reports to the Manager – Total Rewards
  • Peers include Corporate Payroll Manager, Sr. Total Rewards Analyst
  • Wellness Specialist (contractor)

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical fields
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in Compensation, Benefits and HRIS
  • Experience partnering with vendors and managing day to day solutions
  • Experience with Workday HRIS is highly desired
  • Experience in other HR fields and manufacturing a plus

  • Excellent analytical analysis with focus on providing recommendations, improving benefits programs, and influencing leaders
  • Strong project management skills and ability to execute on multiple projects and goals
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel
  • CEBS or other relevant certification a plus
  • Demonstrated good judgment and decision making capability
