International Development Group, an institutional capacity building organization working in the public, private and non-for-profit sectors to achieve sustainable programs, is seeking a Senior Recruiter who will focus on talent sourcing, candidate identification, networking and relationship building with potential candidates matching them to positions for donor-funded proposals and projects. Key Responsibilities include:

Project recruitment and management of consultants:

  • Lead sourcing and selection of candidates and consultants by partnering with the company technical leads to develop job descriptions and managing job advertising;
  • Employ social networking tools, in-person networking, and other search techniques to attract candidates and technical experts to develop a diverse talent pool;
  • Review applications and assess candidate qualifications against criteria established in the project job descriptions or Scope of Work requirements;
  • Conduct initial interviews with identified candidates, check references, and collect the personnel documentation including but not limited to USAID biodata form, salary verification, etc.;
  • Negotiate the compensation rate and packages with long-term and short-term consultants and project staff;
  • Manage the Applicant Tracking Systems, database of consultants;
  • Effectively maintain relationships with the consultants; and
  • Promote the company’s recruitment brand through actively participation in job fairs, conferences and other networking and marketing events.

Business Development:

  • Actively work as part of proposal teams to anticipate and plan for upcoming recruitment activities;
  • Work closely with the proposal leader to develop competitive staffing strategies, identify viable candidates, and gain the personnel documents;
  • Actively contribute to live proposal development by formatting and finalizing CVs for inclusion in proposals and draft proposal personnel sections; and
  • Manage proposal templates and processes pertinent to personnel.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three to five (3-5) years of experience in the recruitment or staffing
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and diplomacy skills
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail;
  • Understanding of compliance requirements and best practices for recruitment and hiring;
  • Proficiency in identifying and employing social media and other outreach tactics;
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities;
  • Experience working with an applicant tracking system or customer relationship management software required;
  • Knowledge of recruitment for USAID and other donor-funded projects required;
  • Experience working or living in an international or multicultural setting preferred;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Public Administration, Human Resources Management or related field required;
  • Proficiency in second language desired.
