Payroll Processing

  •  Compile and process information for payroll production
  •  Maintain accurate records and workflow related to payroll
  •  Verify the accuracy of data entered in the payroll system and works with supervisor to reconcile payroll related issues
  •  Respond to inquiries to resolve payroll problems and enforce company policy
  •  Stay current with system updates and changes as well as changes with current wage and tax laws
  •  Coordinate all aspects of payroll balancing including researching and resolving discrepancies
  •  Work with HR and Payroll manger on a day to day basis to revolve issues, set up new earnings/deductions, and any other system maintenance

Tax Reporting

  •  Balance current payroll tax and taxable to the year-to date W2 box totals and resolve variances to minimize year end correction
  •  Experience in performing payroll banking processing (transmitting stop payments, reversal, etc.)
  •  Prepare weekly tax liability spreadsheet and transmit to Federal and State agencies for timely funding


  •  Ensure payroll integrity through audit reports, data analysis and collaboration with other team members.
  •  Coordinate and administer Wage Garnishment order in accordance with federal and state regulations
  •  Assist Payroll Manager with preparing for annual Pension, WC and year end audits
  •  Process and maintain all union dues deductions and monthly payments
  •  Assist Payroll Manager in identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness of the payroll processes, develop and document business processes and workflow





  •  5-7 years of experience in payroll operations – some college preferred
  •  Working knowledge of federal and state regulations
  •  Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and prioritization abilities
  •  Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  •  Strong interpersonal skills both verbal and written
  •  Proficient with Excel (including pivot tables), Word and Outlook applications – experience with Great Plains HR/Payroll and Kronos Timekeeping applications a must
  •  Excellent customer service skills
  •  Confidentiality and Trustworthiness
  •  Daily attendance at work required
  •  Ability to work overtime with no notice based on business needs
