Weber Shandwick is looking for a Senior HR Business Partner (VP/SVP level) to join our North America Human Resources team based in New York.

We Are Seeking…

We are looking for a VP/SVP Human Resources to be located in our NY office who will provide smart counsel to leaders and employees across the full employee lifecycle, and in partnership with the EVP of Human Resources and the broader North America Weber Talent team, will help shape our approach on how our talent programs should be done, not just how it’s been done.  

You will help develop, manage and implement talent programs that will support agency business goals, attract talent, and increase employee engagement, retention and high performing teams; stay current on emerging talent trends and best practices to provide ongoing assessment of talent, culture and employee programs to shape better processes and program enhancements.

Additionally, we’ll be looking to you to mentor others on our HR team to craft and execute best in class talent programs and influence leaders to build and support a vibrant employee experience.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 12-15 years related talent management and HR experience; agency experience a strong plus
  • Strong generalist foundation across the full breadth of talent management areas of expertise (talent development, employee relations, employment law, staffing)
  • Proven expertise in driving change and developing modern talent programs
  • Solutions oriented, strategic thinker, problem solver, client service focused
  • Develops recommendations grounded in a combination of data, best practices research and personal expertise
  • Polished professional presence and collaborative relationship style, ability to partner effectively with talent at all levels of the organization across multiple locations, teams and businesses
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills necessary, with the ability to articulate recommendations succinctly and accurately
  • Attention to detail, multi-tasking, and strong follow through required
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Proven ability to re-prioritize and work quickly and efficiently
  • Ability for occasional travel to other US locations


Preferred Requirements:

  • HR Certification preferred; OD/OE certifications and/or course work a strong plus
