Position Summary:                      

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will be an integral part of the HR team and the organization. The HRBP will drive the people agenda across our field teams, in Sales and Medical Affairs. The ideal candidate will be an innovative HR professional who is energized by driving programs that boost organizational effectiveness, coaching employees and managers, and creating a team and culture to enable the best in people and the company. The HRBP will report to the Chief of Staff.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for providing HR leadership and guidance to Sales [and Medical Affairs teams], along with consultation and delivery of HR programs and services to achieve business plans for the field force
  • Act as an internal consultant to leaders, managers, and employees providing coaching and advice on a range of organizational and change issues
  • Ensure the business attracts, develops, and retains high quality talent at all levels to support the growth objectives, opportunities, and strategies of the business
  • Build strong partnerships with the HR team functions such as compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, HRIS and leadership & employee development to roll out corporate wide programs and ensure client’s needs are understood and met
  • Work with team members to implement and manage key HR processes, such as performance management process (performance assessment, calibration, and compensation planning, including partnering on incentive compensation)
  • Provide employee relations expertise to client groups ensuring compliance to company practices / culture; state and federal employment law.
  • Work with managers and employees in identifying and addressing performance related issues
  • Be the main point of contact for HR related questions and issues for the field team
  • Lead at least one cross-company HR programs (e.g., benefits assessment)

Requirements

Required Experience and Skills:

  • At least 8 years of progressive HR experience, including experience implementing HR strategies, management development, employee relations and change management
  • Experience working in the life sciences industry with a commercial field organization
  • Demonstrated effectiveness working with remote teams
  • Demonstrated sound business acumen, excellent relationship building, negotiating, problem-solving and coaching skills
  • Knowledge of employee relations principles, practices, methods, and programs; understanding of federal and state employment and labor laws, regulations, procedures, and standards
  • Current US work authorization

 

Preferred Education:

  • BS/BA or equivalent; MBA, MA or other advanced degree preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to address strategic HR issues as well as operational proficiency in the HR practices of a fast paced, dynamic, growing environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff
  • Self-motivated, self-confident individual who is comfortable operating with minimal direction and who thrives in a dynamic environment as a leader influencing change and transformation
  • Credible and savvy business person who will be perceived as a trusted advisor and functional expert across various teams
  • Demonstrated success in analyzing HR and workforce metrics - and providing insightful, thoughtful, and creative recommendations for action
  • Demonstrated track record of managing and influencing at the senior level
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels and present complex and/or new ideas with clarity and simplicity
  • Strong team-orientation and collaboration
  • Committed to the values of integrity, accountability, transparency, scientific rigor and drive
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google suite, and HR systems
  • Ability to travel domestically and able to travel as needed to appropriate engage the field team (up to 25%)
