As the Senior Compensation Analyst, you will:

 

  • Be responsible for maintaining the organization's compensation program. 
  • The role includes:  preparation and pay range determination of all job descriptions; analysis, recommendations, and administration of SPHS pay scales; participation in market compensation surveys and analysis for recommended range adjustments; advise to management on applicable state and federal issues and market trends related to compensation; and oversight of the organization's annual performance evaluation process.
  • Provide consultation to recruiters and program managers for pay rates and pay equity review; maintains effective liaison with Payroll. 
  • Maintain compensation components of the HRIS and develops reports as requested.

Requirements

Requires:

 

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field; CCP or HRCI/SHRM certification may be substituted for degree.  CCP, HRCI or SHRM certification preferred.
  • At least 3 years' compensation analyst experience, preferably in a health care environment;  must possess:
    • o   excellent verbal and written communication skills;
    • o   comprehensive knowledge of human resource laws, regulations and best practices;
    • o   extensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods;
    • o   excellent organizational and time management skills;
    • o   proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software;
    • o   proven attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining data, files and systems.
  • Analytical ability sufficient to extract and analyze data from written material, observation and communications, make statistical calculations, develop reports and systems to facilitate efficient decision-making. 
  • A high level of interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with management and all levels of employees, present information and deliver training, and explain policies and procedures in sometimes difficult situations (21-50% of work time).
  • The ability to prioritize and respond appropriately to requests for PRN assistance and/or meetings, pay close attention to details, and meet established deadlines, frequently producing a high level of mental/visual fatigue.
