Job Summary:

The Retirement Plans Director of Compliance will be responsible for Regulatory Compliance regarding all retirement plans that have engaged the company to provide administrative and consulting services. Ensuring compliance with ERISA, IRS an DOL requirements and satisfaction of individual clients’ needs.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Communicates with clients to understand their needs to guide plan design and recommendations including plan design illustrations.

  • Manages and maintains compliance for clients’ plan document, amendments, and IRS mandated updates including initial plan design and setup.

  • Provides guidance, required notices, documentation, and other information on plan terminations, mergers and/or spin-offs.

  • Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and changes in retirement plan regulations and compliance; applies this knowledge to ensure that the plan documents are compliant.

  • Quality Review of plan valuations, compliance testing and government filings.

  • Resource for company staff related to compliance questions.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Thorough understanding of retirement plan laws.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • At least five years of experience in all phases of retirement plan administration and consulting required.
