The Senior Talent Development Liaison reports to the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management (with a dotted line to the Assistant Provost of Champlain College Online) supporting our online undergraduate and graduate students who are seeking career growth, career change, and personal fulfillment through Champlain’s online degree and certificate programs, and the talent development needs of our partner organizations – large corporations, nonprofits, and government organizations across the country – whose employees attend Champlain College Online.

 

Through the alignment of organizations’ needs, Champlain’s professionally focused academic programs, and our adult students’ experience and drive, the Sr. Talent Development Liaison helps to position our online students and alumni for career success while identifying opportunities for internships, professional development, and growth at partner organizations and other settings across the country.

 

In this multifaceted role, the Senior Talent Development Liaison serves as a bridge between program directors, advising, and the truED (our innovative workforce development program) team and our partner organizations, with an emphasis on activities and engagement that support online student professional growth and career fulfillment. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct or indirect counsel to online students and alums about their professional development and career goals via email, chat, and video sessions; own content production for the CCO career blog posts; create and facilitate webinars; etc. (25%)
  • Develop advisors into frontline career coaches, helping to ensure students’ career goals are met through our online programs. (15%)
  • Build relationships with talent acquisition and talent development professionals at current and prospective truED alliance organizations for the purposes of increasing the career relevance of the online education and creating new or enhanced opportunities for our students and alumni while meeting the evolving workplace learning needs of our partners. (30%)
  • Identify opportunities for curricular alignment and enhancement related to the career and professional development needs of individual students and partner organizations. (10%)
  • Support the business development activities of truED and the recruitment of new adult students to Champlain College Online. (15%)
  • Serve in an external relations capacity for institutional priorities of the Office of the President, Advancement, Centers of Excellence, and other Champlain College partners. (5%)

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in talent acquisition, training, learning and development, career coaching, competency framework development, human capital, and/or related field.
  • Master’s degree required.
  • Experience with career pathing software, human capital analytics, and related tools would give the candidate a distinct advantage.
  • Executive-level presentation and communication skills.
  • Salesforce or other CRM experience preferred.
