The Regional Human Resource Manager (RHM) is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and results of the human resource function in the region.  The manager will recommend and successfully implement HR strategy and administer HR programs resulting in achievement of business objectives and excellent service to all employees within the organization.

The RHM is a member of the business management team and ensures the HR function delivers value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct the human resource team to deliver comprehensive HR services to employees
  • Implement  training and development activities,  work with managers to identify areas that need attention and improvement, and locate and administer employee training
  • Manage talent and succession planning; take overall responsibility for workforce planning and employee development plans to insure long term organizational health
  • Drive performance management – equip managers with practical suggestions and tools to improve organizational performance and resolve personnel conflicts that restrict optimal performance
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Ensure management actions conform to employee handbook and labor laws
  • Liaise with legal counsel and management  to discuss HR-related issues  as needed
  • Address other personnel-related issues
  • Participate in disciplinary and termination meetings
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.


Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of increasingly responsible roles in human resources
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and relevant industry experience, or equivalent work experience required
  • Bilingual – English and Spanish (speak, read, and write) strongly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills
