We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Recruitment Specialist to join our HR team! The Recruitment Specialist will maximize our ability to find, attract, and hire new employees through advertising open roles, connecting with potential candidates, and interviewing candidates, all while maintaining a positive candidate experience.
 

Recruitment Specialist duties and responsibilities:
 

  Overall – Strategy/Objectives/Execution

  • Develop and continuously evolve a sustainable recruiting strategy based on our goals and needs

  • Determine the effectiveness and success of current recruiting plans and strategies, making recommendations as needed

  • Design and implement a recruitment marketing/employer branding/employee value proposition strategy to attract high quality applicants.

  • Assist in the full hiring process of employees which includes recruitment, interviews, verifying work-history and tracking of passive candidates

  • Identify and implement key recruiting KPIs/goals/objectives. Execute recruitment goals and objectives. Prepare reports, as applicable

     

    Planning

  • Meet with HR managers and hiring managers to develop specific recruiting plans

  • Develop annual recruitment strategies to achieve expected staffing levels

     

    Sourcing

  • Utilize multiple avenues to recruit companywide

  • Build talent networks to find qualified active and passive candidates. Educate hiring managers and employees on networking best practices to help build talent pools.

  • Foster positive relations and stay engaged with potential/passive candidates

  • Answer questions potential candidates may have throughout the process

  • Work collaboratively with the HR team to develop and maintain professional relationships with college, university and community college placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants

     

    Identifying/Screening/Interviewing

  • Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements

  • Search resume databases to find potential candidates who would be a good fit

  • Conduct initial phone screening to obtain work history, education, job skills, and cultural fit

  • Determine which applicants are qualified and refer to hiring manager for consideration to interview

  • Schedule interviews and send confirmation correspondence to all parties

  • Arrange travel and lodging for applicants, if necessary

  • Conduct necessary pre-hire checks

Requirements

Recruitment Specialist requirements and qualifications:

  • Prior experience in Recruiting or similar HR role. Bachelor’s Degree in human resources or related field preferred

  • Understanding and familiarity with a variety of recruitment methods, including social media

  • Experience with developing and implementing recruitment marketing/employer branding/employee value proposition strategies

  • Experience with HRIS/ATS tools

  • Strong communication skills and an attentive listener

  • Outside of the box thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Highly organized and efficient worker; skilled at multi-tasking

  • Property and casualty insurance experience a plus

  • This position will require some travel, including overnight travel.
