Howard County General Hospital is seeking a Recruitment Specialist II to join our team. The Recruitment Specialist II is responsible for assisting in the organizational goals, objectives and staffing needs of the hospital. The Recruitment Specialist will oversee the full recruitment/employment cycle for assigned departments. This involves, but is not limited to:

  • Developing viable recruitment strategies/initiatives and sourcing candidates
  • Screening/interviewing, selection/placement, offers, reference/background checking
  • Ensuring the successful onboarding of new employees
  • Serving as an advocate in the identification and/or development of career pathing opportunities for staff
  • Job marketing/advertising, job posting maintenance, invoices, and correspondence are additional support duties necessary

 

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, business, or related field with a minimum of two years of recruitment experience or HR related experience
  • OR Bachelor's degree with one year of recruitment experience in a healthcare environment preferred
  • Recruitment experience in varying levels of positions (entry level, administrative, and clinical) is ideal
  • Strong networking and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail
