Summary: This position is primarily responsible for recruiting, interviewing, testing, on-boarding, managing referrals of applicants for all non-exempt as well as other clerical, technical and administrative positin0s throughout the company. This position must possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques, a good knowledge of all clerical and specialized functions in the company, a basic understanding of the company's management structure as well as extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.


Primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Process job requisitions using approved methodology.
  • Screen and interview applicants
  • Conduct employment verifications.
  • Coordinate background and reference checks and new-hire drug testing.
  • Maintain employee referral program.
  • Notifies IT as required of new employee's needs.
  • Provides information on company operations and job opportunities to potential candidates.
  • Screens and refers qualified candidates to hiring manager for interviewing. May provide initial screening to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements.
  • Acts as liaison with area employment agencies.
  • Coordinates appropriate pre-employment testing.
  • Extends verbal and written contingent offer letters.
  • Administers onboarding protocols as structured and directed by Corporate office.
  • Manage and conduct orientation of new employees.
  • Schedules and attends job/career fairs with appropriate staff to generate qualified applicants.
  • Develops recruiting strategies to achieve required staffing levels.
  • Researches, analyzes, prepares and presents hiring, retention and termination statistics.
  • Maintains records on recruiting activities as required.
  • Completes all hiring forms including I-9, W-4 and company required documents.
  • Prepares new employee packets.
  • Files documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Assists in processing of mail.
  • Maintain discretion and ensure proper handling while dealing with highly sensitive data.
  • Responsible to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18001 Safety certification requirements.
  • Requires regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirement:

 

This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:

 

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Human Resources or Human Relations.
  • Two years relevant experience in HR or recruiting.
  • SHRM CP or SCP certification preferred.
  • Prior experience in ADP or comparable HRIS system.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.  Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, demanding, team environment.
  • Required to meet departmental objectives and timelines.
  • Must have high ability to handle confidential information.
  • Must be flexible with schedule and able to work overtime as needed.

 

 

 

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

  •  May be required to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Primary work is in an office environment.  May be required to be on the manufacturing plant floor in extreme temperatures for moderate periods of time.
  • Eye/hand coordination for more than 50% of the time.
  • Visual strain for more than 50% of the time.
  • Listening, sitting, standing, walking, stooping, observing, grasping, pushing, pulling and keyboarding.
  • Position is full time, Monday through Friday.  Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand,
