The Recruiting and Onboarding team plays a critical role in building our team and culture - by identifying and attracting people who share our vision, values, and standards of excellence, and then strengthening our alignment during formative touchpoints with Sila. For candidates, we aim to provide a candidate experience that makes everyone feel respected and valued, regardless of outcome. 

We’re looking for an experienced People (HR) enthusiast to lead our Recruiting & Onboarding team, as well as other People programs as needed. The ideal candidate will combine data, creativity, and proven HR approaches to drive strategic development and operational excellence in the way we find, evaluate, and onboard new Silazens.  

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive vision and strategy for Recruiting & Onboarding at Sila, including how to recruit, mentor, and lead an excellent team
  • Build organizational systems (e.g. dashboards, metrics, systematic feedback mechanisms) for operational excellence and continuous improvement, using data to guide decision-making
  • Manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects to improve hiring and onboarding, focusing on scalability, effectiveness, candidate experience, and fairness
  • Partner with hiring managers from many disciplines to plan, source, and fill hiring needs. Own hard-to-fill, high impact roles
  • Take ownership of other People programs as needed, both operational and strategic
  • Champion Sila culture and values in Recruiting & Onboarding, and other company programs

Requirements

  • Done this before. BA/BS degree or equivalent and 10+ years of experience owning and executing Recruiting & Onboarding programs in a rapidly growing, culture-oriented company
  • Exceptional focus on putting people first. Natural enjoyment from meeting new people, building strong relationships, and mentoring team members
  • Growth mindset. Positive attitude towards tackling unfamiliar challenges and taking on new responsibilities to help the company thrive
  • Design-oriented and data-driven. Ability to work with a beginner’s mind, frequently seeking feedback and data to find the best path forward
  • Master Prioritizer. Ability to identify key leverage points for the company and strategically plan and execute on multiple projects in an organized fashion
