Position Description: Recruitment, selection and retention of employees to support the successful operation of the organization. This position promotes a positive image of the organization through establishing recruitment relationships with external organizations and institutions as well as establishing sincere relationships within the organization.

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

  • Lead by example and promote Seabrook Core Values, Characteristics, Employee Constitution and Decision Making.
  • Disseminates the open positions of the organization through internal job postings, updating the website, regular contacts with outside organizations and placing advertisements.
  • Conducts new hire orientation and benefits orientation.
  • Attends career and intern fairs.
  • Assist with open enrollment.
  • Inputs new hire information and new benefit enrollee information.
  • Serves as safety Committee Chairperson and organizes AED/CPR Training for employees.
  • Assists with summer staffing programs and acts as the liaison between Seabrook and schools, agencies and potential employees
  • Conducts exit interviews.
  • Assists the Human Resource Director with the all employee meetings and parties.
  • Tracks the effectiveness of recruiting efforts through efficient and measurable means and makes necessary change in efforts to improve the process.
  • Regular contact with potential candidates to create a pool of high caliber candidates interested in positions within the organization.
  • Screens applicants to ensure management receives qualified candidates for open positions utilizing the job descriptions on file.
  • Communicates regularly with management to ensure staffing needs are anticipated and communicated for effective recruitment and selection.
  • Conducts all pre-hire screening for all applicants receiving contingent offers of employment.
  • Interaction with management regularly, to ensure that all job descriptions are accurate and up to date. Updates job descriptions as necessary and devises job descriptions for new positions created within the organization.
  • Continuously evaluates the recruiting, selection and orientation process to identify areas for improvement through the use of technology.      
  • Promotes a positive reputation of the Human Resources department through regular contact with all new employees on a regular basis, positive interaction and meeting the staffing needs of management.
  • Supports and assists the Human Resources Director in the evaluation and development of company policies as they relate to employment issues.
  • Complete any other tasks assigned by the Director of Human Resources or General Manager
  • Must maintain the policy of this company to conduct operations in a manner that will prevent injuries to people and damage to property and equipment and that will comply with all applicable regulations for safety and health.
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or any other related field or any

combination of education and experience, which provides the required skills, knowledge and ability. PHR

certification preferred.

 

Experience: One year of related experience.

 

Skills: Excellent analytical, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills, proficient

computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and presentation software are required.

Experience with Human Resources systems a preferred; customer service skills required.     

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: None              

                       

Equipment to be used: Routine office machinery and software, use of company van.

                       

Typical Physical Demands: Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. May require

Some lifting of up to 30 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office

machinery. Requires normal range of hearing and vision. Requires ability to function

professionally in a challenging and stressful environment.
