Newport Academy is a gender-specific, comprehensive residential treatment program for adolescents suffering from mental health, behavioral health, and substance abuse issues. The program combines the key elements essential in effectively treating adolescent girls and boys with substance abuse, eating disorders and other mental health disorders. As compared with adults, adolescents have higher rates of dual diagnosis and developmental differences. Adolescent treatment needs can be challenging and often involves more comprehensive and multi-disciplinary approaches. At Newport Academy, we deliver a highly individualized, holistic approach to treatment where psychological, biological, spiritual, social, and educational needs are continually assessed and revised throughout the treatment process.

Newport Academy, is seeking a Recruiter to be responsible for full life-cycle recruiting:  sourcing, screening and recommending placement of staff.  The recruiter will serve as the ambassador of Newport Academy in the employment arena and must maintain an in-depth knowledge of both the company and the positions within it.  The incumbent will serve as the subject matter expert within the company on all topics related to recruiting and he/she will also serve as a strong business partner to the hiring managers.  Scope will include Director level and above and all corporate and outreach positions while assisting in crisis staffing situations. 

 Essential Duties:

·       Works with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and complete job analysis to fully define job specifications, competencies and skills required.  Create or update job description as needed prior to initiating a search.

·       Develops effective recruiting plans and strategies utilizing traditional and nontraditional resources to identify and attract quality candidates.  Keeps current with sourcing strategies and industry needs.

·       Develops and maintains company career page and external advertising through designated resources.

·       Screens resumes, interviews candidates (by phone or in person), administers appropriate assessments and reference/background checking, makes recommendations for hire (or not hire) and delivers employment offers for both exempt and non-exempt position openings.

·       Manages internal application process, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager and transfer offer letters.

·       Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g. benefits, compensation).

·       Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruitment process.

·       Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals and represents Newport Academy in a professional manner at all times.

·       Acts as liaison with employment agencies.

·       Partners with local HR leadership to develop and maintain college recruitment programs.

·       Maintains and promotes and employee referral program with supporting materials.

·       Completes weekly report on employment activity and recruiting metrics (cost per hire, etc.)

·       Serves as expert for generating high quality talent.

·       Manage application/resume file and retention according to company policy.

·       Develop and maintain applicant tracking system.

·       Perform other duties as assigned.

Partner with hiring manager to determine short and long-term staffing needs and serve as a trusted advisor when helping to identify top talent and achieve goals.  Collaborates with HR team on recruitment and retention issues within designated locations of responsibility.

Required Education/Qualifications

Bachelor Degree preferred, High School Diploma required.  Minimum of five (5) years recruiting experience required; minimum of two years recruiting within healthcare.  Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.

Work Schedule:  Full time role to equate to 40 hours or more per week.  Hours may fluctuate based upon the 24/7 environment with operations in all US time zones.
