Job Skills/Requirements
The Product Analyst is an integral part of the development and progression of our products and services. This position removes much of the guesswork by understanding the detailed workings of the product offering and can elicit feedback, research and analyze new needs and solutions. You will partner with a Product Manager counterpart and help solve problems in new and re-imaged ways. 

Requirements

Specifically, as a Product Analyst you will:
• Use your inquisitive mind to dig into problems, conduct research and share/collaborate on your findings with a software development team
• Be a master of agile requirements elicitation (writing stories, breaking them down, ordering, and writing acceptance criteria)
• Have a full understanding of the market problems to be able to categorize user stories as a must have, should have and/or nice to have to achieve the desired outcome
• Collaborate with Product Manager to write and contribute to the acceptance criteria
• Work with team during iteration/sprint to clarify requirements and supporting rules, data flows
• Develop and maintain product documentation
• Expert on requirement modeling methods
• Collaborate and interact with departments as needed to support the solution lifecycle
• Partner with Product Managers and teams to prioritize, scope and perform in-depth analyses to drive and inform strategic decisions, especially related to the product development and growth initiatives
• Understand fundamentals of software development processes and procedures
• Understand the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team
• Understand incremental delivery and the value of metrics
• Understand backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition
• Familiarity with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices
• Collaborate with Scrum Master and Team to perform release and iteration planning
• Support the Scrum Master in managing the agreed-upon scope of the development for each iteration
• Minimal travel required 
• Standard work schedule applies.
• Travel up to 25% for on-site customer visits, trade shows, etc. 

Qualifications Required: 
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master’s degree preferred. 
• Minimum 5-years work experience in either Business Analysis or Software Development Life cycle.
• Proven capability with a full understanding of payroll or Insurance Benefit specialization.
• Works on moderately complex and diverse projects.
• Strong knowledge in the following areas:
• Domain and industry knowledge
• Awareness of business issues as they impact overall delivery plans
• Software development life-cycle
• Technically proficient with a range of software and technology tools including MS Office, TFS, CRM, relational databases, survey tools, and research methodologies.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of business analysis, product strategy, and business technology terminology.

• Strong collaboration skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
• Know how to manage stakeholder expectations and conflicting priorities while keeping things in perspective and maintaining composure
• Must be situationally aware and escalate issue to management as appropriate
• Excellent time management and effective decision-making ability.
• Outstanding teamwork and influential management skills with the ability to work with others at all levels internally and externally
• Knowledge of agile requirements elicitation
• Strong familiarity with the Agile software product lifecycle
• Capability of understanding, interpreting and executing business plans, as well as delivering insights to stakeholder audiences, including high-value customers and senior leadership.
• Ability to respond effectively to market direction, customer needs and competitors’ positions.
• Ability to capitalize on opportunities through market research plans and on-going programs.
• Capability to see beyond what is requested and get to the core of what is needed!
• Provide training and coaching to other team members and act as a go to person for process and product knowledge
• Advance knowledge and skills through continuing education and training
