Legacy Measurement Solutions Inc is looking to add a Plant HR Administrator to our Brookfield, Ohio team. We are offering an excellent compensation package ($55k per year annual salary) and benefits package (Eligible for benefits 1st of month following 30 days of employment, Benefits include BlueCross BlueShield PPO, DeltaDental, EyeMed, Company paid STD, Company paid LTD, Company paid life insurance and more). Work schedule is M-F from 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Legacy Measurement Solutions offers engineered custody transfer measurement, production and process equipment to the oil and natural gas industry from wellhead through midstream and transmission. The company and its predecessors, JW and Wedge, together have nearly 30 years of hydrocarbon measurement experience resulting in the most extensive installed base of custody transfer orifice meter tubes in the nation.

Legacy owns and operates two flagship manufacturing facilities (Tyler, TX and Brookfield, OH) providing the largest hydrocarbon measurement equipment manufacturing footprint in the industry. From design to manufacturing, commissioning, technical support, maintenance repair and training, Legacy provides a comprehensive solution. The Legacy team operates in strict compliance with national safety, engineering and environmental standards governing the oil and gas sectors.

Our headquarters office is located at 10077 Grogans Mill Road, Suite 200, The Woodlands, TX 77380.

Summary:

 This position performs a variety of human resources functions, including reviewing plant payroll timesheets, assisting employees with HR related questions, preparing employee relations and performance management documentation, preparing reports for the plant and operations managers, scheduling interview appointments and answering incoming HR calls. This position is responsible for the support of the human resources and operations departments that are essential to the efficient function of the Brookfield manufacturing plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: may include any or all of the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Functions as a Brookfield HR liaison to the Headquarters HR office.
  • Responds to employee HR related questions and researches information when necessary. This includes questions about benefits, paychecks, leave of absences, PTO, garnishments, employment verifications, resignation, and HR complaints at a plant level.
  • Responsible for employee relations, misconduct investigations, and conflict management at the Brookfield Plant as directed by the HR Director.
  • Monitors attendance and punctuality of direct labor. Reviews all payroll related matters and timesheets for all Brookfield plant employees. Helps supervisors review, edit, and approve bi-weekly payroll timesheets.
  • Manages plant PTO schedule.
  • Onboards new employees at the Brookfield Plant.
  • Assists with disciplinary action and manages employee terminations/ exit interviews as needed.
  • Coordinates with HR Director on leave of absence administration tasks. (FMLA, WC, Personal leaves, military leaves, STD, LTD, etc).
  • Composes HR memos and business letters, such as employment verification correspondences, and responds to unemployment claims.
  • Creates HR related presentations, such as the annual local and corporate policy review presentation, supervisor training, and 1st day of work new hire orientation. Schedules employee trainings and meetings, such as the annual open enrollment benefits meeting.
  • Responsible for scanning incoming HR mail, such as child support garnishments, and distributing to the appropriate HR personnel in the headquarters office.
  • Manages and coordinates recruiting activities, including scheduling interviews, reviews job openings, reviews resumes with hiring managers, completes HIRE form and requests offer letters from headquarters office, and manages start dates.
  • Joins plant departmental meetings regularly to review changes and other important HR updates with employees and supervisors.
  • Reviews, maintains, and inputs employee data into the HR ExponentHR.com system.
  • Oversees safety boot and safety glasses program for Brookfield plant.
  • Assist Plant General Manager with financial and other HR reporting and administrative needs.
  • Coordinates plant employee events, such as employee appreciation events and holiday parties.
  • Responsible for maintaining office supplies/equipment and ensure employees have all appropriate IT equipment to do their job successfully. Functions as a liaison with our IT provider.
  • Assists with coordinating quarterly random drug testing for the plant. Drug testing responsibilities also include new hire drug testing, reasonable suspicion testing, and post-accident drug testing.
  • Coordinates with HSE Manager and HR Director on injuries associated with workers’ compensation and employee modified duty/ return to work arrangements.

Other Skills, Abilities or preferred Qualifications:

  • Must be skilled in conflict management, business communication, public speaking, excellent writing abilities, analysis, problem solving, decision-making, planning, organizing, meeting deadlines, multi-tasking, attention to detail, and communication with employees/ managers.
  • Successful candidate must be confident and be able to have professional one-on-one in-person meetings with employees to review disciplinary action notices or detailed explanations/ responds to benefits, complaints, and other HR matters.
  • HR related law knowledge learned from college coursework or from experience is required.
  • Must be proficient with all Microsoft Office applications, databases, MS Outlook e-mail, and web-based applications.
  • Must have intermediate MS Excel skills and be able to VLOOKUP data, put together PIVOT TABLES, and create charts. Training will be provided if necessary.
  • Must have excellent English writing skills and be able to create a business letter and other professional communications. Must know how to create professional documents in MS Word.
  • Must have MS POWERPOINT skills and be able to successfully create HR presentations.
