The People Services Business Partner is a culture champion, change agent, and advisor for their respective business teams while collaborating with leaders and the People Services team to drive QTS’ business objectives. Primary areas of focus include Employee Advocacy, Talent & Performance Management, Employee Relations, and Leadership Coaching.

RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned.

  • Partners with HR functional teams including Talent Acquisition, Leadership and Development, and HR Operations to effectively implement, administer and deliver Human Resource programs, processes, projects and change management objectives.
  • Designs and supports talent programs to continue to mature organizational capabilities.
  • Supports QTS’ mission, strategy, and values while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability and execution.
  • Partners closely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic regions and business units.
  • Provides leadership development and best practices coaching to strengthen the skills of business leaders within all levels of the organization.
  • Consults with the respective business teams on employee engagement, retention, org design, workforce planning, and leader coaching initiatives.
  • Champions a performance-driven process where expectations and key measurements improve organizational talent to achieve business objectives including goal setting, quarterly evaluation, and annual performance review activities.
  • Partners closely with management to ensure consistent and fair resolution of employee relations issues and fair and consistent administration of training, compensation, resources and benefits.
  • Thoroughly investigates and documents employee concerns, employee relations and performance management issues utilizing a consistent set of tools and methodologies set forth by HR, and advise department people leaders on appropriate corrective actions.
  • Educates employees on HR policies and provides employee counseling on such policies as necessary.
  • Conducts exit interviews, analyses organization gaps, and develops actions plans to implement as needed.
  • Assists in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
  • Ensure that the new hire orientation process properly introduces new employees to the corporate culture.
  • Maintains employee files and records in electronic and paper form
  • Responsible for updating internal HR databases to include completing various administrative templates and forms
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Assists in the preparation and delivery of presentations for managers and employees on a variety of HR related topics.
  • Facilitates group activities to foster teamwork and collaboration and promote the QTS culture
  • Estimated travel to respective sites is 25% but could increase pending business needs


Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related business discipline
  • Seven or more years of related human resources management experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional Certification (PHR, SPHR)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Team-oriented, driven and energetic professional who enjoys building and growing capabilities within the business.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to make effective presentations to small and large groups of employees, management of the business organization supported, and management of higher organizational levels in their business unit.
  • Maintains current knowledge and understanding of regulations and practices, new developments, and applicable laws regarding Human Resources, including knowledge of Federal and State HR related laws.
