Job Summary:

Inspired by our commitment to excellence, the People & Payroll team enables users to create unforgettable memories for our guests.  The successful People & Payroll Manager will oversee the Company’s multi-location payroll function and provide support to the fleet regarding People & payroll related tasks.

 

Payroll Duties:

  • Responsible for Reviewing and auditing payroll fleet-wide to ensure compliance
  • Reviews, balances and submits payroll on a weekly basis
  • Processes commissions, severance, garnishments and levies payments
  • Maintains and processes voluntary payroll deductions for the fleet
  • Maintains close partnership with the Company’s Controller and accounting team
  • Facilitates regular communication with the Company’s UltiPro Named Tax Representative to ensure ongoing correct tax setup and filing
  • Leads and finalizes the year end process
  • Runs and distributes payroll-related reports on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis to local city management teams and accounting
  • Submits annual EEO-1 report
  • Conducts reconciliation audits, tax and SUI audits on a regular basis
  • Ensures the Company is in compliance with federal and state minimum wage and OT laws
  • Serves as lead for annual Worker’s Compensation and accounting audits
  • Responds to all inquiries and questions from city shipmates in a professional and timely manner
  • Identifies and initiates necessary procedural improvement
  • Process monthly department invoicing
  • Work with Benefits and HRIS Team regarding payroll system functionality, LOA and 401k loan catchups, and benefit deduction discrepancies

Requirements

Job Specifications / qualifications:

  • Strong background in payroll & tax, APA certification preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum three (3) year people & payroll experience
  • UltiPro (Ultimate Software) experience preferred
  • Ability to learn new processes quickly and meet deadlines
  • General knowledge of employment laws and practices
  • Ability to research issues and problem solve as needed
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills
  • Able to succeed in a fast paced, ever changing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Able to communicate clearly & concisely in oral and written form
  • Able to manage multiple priorities/tasks, while maintaining a high degree of organization

  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships as required by job responsibility
  • Intermediate to Advanced computer skills required including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
