Payroll Administrator

On-site in Sunnyvale, California

You will be responsible for: 


Payroll Administration  40%

 • Payroll administration of a 32 plus state payroll including bonus payments, quarterly commissions, salary adjustments, on boarding and off boarding employees, leave coordination and benefit changes.

Creation and submission of payroll and benefit journal entries with the GL, in support of month-end closing.

.System administration of ADP Workforce Now.

Management of timely 401(k) submissions, coordination of plan changes including communication to participants, process rollovers and withdrawals.

Management of all payroll-related projects including year-end preparation, maintain updated documentation, resolve payroll tax issues and support annual audits; prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability and non-taxable wages.

Compliance with all applicable laws including advising management on needed actions and employee communications.

 

Benefit Administration and HR Support  40% 

Management of eligibility data, enrollment, deductions and process contributions for company health benefits, 401k, Flex and COBRA payments.

Organization of ESOP, 401(k) and health benefit audit processes to ensure accuracy and consistency of data across all benefit systems. Assist with review of all related documents including 5500s.

Maintenance of vendor relationships with benefit brokers and third party administrators for medical, dental, flexible spending plans, 401k and ESOP.

Reconciliation ofallbenefitsinvoices.

Maintenance oftheheadcountbudgetmodel for the annual and quarterly budget.

Support of HR operational budget by tracking invoices and expenses.

Implementation of continuous process improvement projects. 

 

Reporting  20% 

Safeguard the accuracy of payroll and benefit data entry to ensure data integrity of all systems.

• Management of all HR data in accord with retention policies.

Provision of HR reporting for management and vendors, as needed.

Submission of employee data for EEOC, DOL, auditors and other general requests.

Coordination of globalquarterlytrendandannualemployeedataforRadfordsubmissions.

• On a project basis, manage any ADP upgrades, implementations or interfaces with other HR systems to ensure data integrity, as well as operational excellence.

Requirements

You will have the following: 

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience using current ADP systems (ADP Workforce Now ) in a multi-state environment with highlevels ofproficiencyand accuracy.

• Minimum intermediate proficiency in knowledge and practice of Excel.

• Strong knowledge of employment/tax laws and benefits administration.

• Prior experience with payroll related benefits administration, including 401(k) contributions, census reporting and health insurance billing reconciliations required.

• Prior experience using automated time-card processing systems is required.

• Prior experience managing benefit and financial audits ideal. Prior support experience with headcount and operating budgets is desirable.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain extremely accurate records.

• Strong time management skills e.g., plan work activities, work to prioritize, balance multiple priorities and maintain a high level of organization.

• Track record of learning new technical skills and leveraging information in continuous process improvement.

• Monitor own work to ensure quality.

• Ability to exhibit warmth and sensitivity to others while maintaining a customer- service focus in person & on the phone.

• Collaborative team player with a results-focused orientation.
